Easter dust bunny hunting

I did some spring cleaning today. My apartment is all sparkly now. At least I got something accomplished this weekend, after going into work to get caught up on some things only to discover that my workstation, which was working just fine at about 6:30 PM on Friday, would no longer pass its power-on self-test on Saturday morning at about 10:00 AM. Perhaps just a sign that I wasn’t supposed to do work this weekend.

Miscellanea

No stupid mistakes.
No stupid mistakes.

It’s been a while since I’ve had a perfect exam in Japanese class. I’ve come close a few times recently, but always end up making stupid mistakes, like leaving out tenten (little dots beside a character that turn an unvoiced consonant into a voiced consonant). It feels good to earn a smiley face at the top of an exam every now and then :)

This quarter is flying by and I’m going to graduate before I know it. Since I’ve been working mostly on just two things–my capstone project and studying Japanese–it doesn’t feel like I’ve done a lot this quarter even though I’ve been putting a huge amount of time into my project. It’s good to be making progress towards having a working product.

The weather today was really nice. I spent the whole afternoon out with my cameras taking pictures. Once I have some time to flip through what I shot (and get a couple of rolls of film developed) hopefully some of the pictures will end up here.

After going out and taking pictures, I came back exhausted and fell right asleep. When I woke up hungry and went out for food around 8, it was so pleasant outside that I felt compelled to take another stroll around campus. I love evenings in the spring.

New Google Imagery for UW

I just noticed on Google Maps that the satellite imagery has been updated for the UW campus. The old images were about 4 years old.

Looks like these were taken sometime last summer. The CSE and BioE buildings are completed, as well as the construction on Guggenheim (though the landscaping still looks pretty fresh.)
