Blustery Days

Out my window today.
Out my window today.
It’s definitely starting to feel like winter around here. While Saturday was a fairly nice day with some blue sky, it was completely overcast and starting to get windy Sunday afternoon. We had a little rain in the evening. Today, it’s gray, cold, and rainy, and the wind is picking up. The forecast includes a high wind warning with gusts up to 60 miles per hour. All of the wind has more or less stripped the trees of their remaining leaves, which makes things feel a whole lot less like fall and more like winter. The switch to daylight savings time and the fact that it’s now getting dark around 4 doesn’t help much either.

This weekend has been about catching up for me. I was amazed by how much I was able to sleep yesterday. After waking up around 11 AM, I still felt like napping in the afternoon and evening, and even after all that sleeping, still had a hard time staying up until 3 AM to get my order in for OLPC’s “Give One Get One” program. I felt much better this morning, though. I’m rested and ready to be productive again. Which is a good thing, because today is my day to get caught up on homework, studying, and preparation for 466 labs.

It seems that with every post I make here, I comment about the decreasing frequency with which I’ve been posting photos, and this one is no exception. Between my busy schedule lately and bad weather on the weekends, I haven’t had a chance to take many pictures. I did shoot a roll of film, but wasn’t paying close enough attention to notice that I’d loaded the film wrong until I’d made the 36th exposure of the same frame.

I do have a few digitals of various autumn leaves around campus that are currently in the frames on my wall. When I get a chance, I’ll post those here on Ordered Pixels.

Now, I get to venture out into the rain and the wind and make my way over to the Allen Center.

Old theme

It appears that Ordered Pixels is rendering in a horribly broken way in the latest version of Firefox. Until I can figure out why and what they’ve done to Firefox’s CSS handling, I’ve temporarily reverted to the old theme for Ordered Pixels.

Hopefully, some new content should be coming soon.

Edit: And now it seems to be working fine. Maybe my Firefox was just acting up.
