There’s a cashier at QFC that probably thinks I’m a bit odd now, as I just walked in and purchased a single potato (Russet, 1.05lbs) and nothing else. The potato is going to be stabbed with several pieces of metal in a few hours and utilized as a battery in an electrical engineering lab. Because, really, who doesn’t want to know the Thévenin equivalent circuit for a potato?

Yeah, it’s us crazy engineering students, subjecting poor, innocent foodstuffs to our experimental whims…

This purple W has appeared on Red Square. It’s painted on, so it’s at least semi-permanent.

(Edit: The W was there for homecoming. Apparently it was some kind of water-soluble paint, because it’s been washed away now.)
