Spring ‘05

Well, that was too easy… woke up at 5:55 this morning, refreshed registration until 6, typed in a couple SLNs, and… no full classes or restrictions or anything like that. Yay!

I wasn’t really trying for a schedule that started that late, but hey, I’m not complaining!

spring schedule

Of course, nothing messes up my sleep patterns like getting up at six, then going back to sleep for three hours… fortunately I can always go to the later CSE lecture.

I went over to West Montlake Park this weekend (nice place…) and walked back the other way through McCurdy Park, through the edge of the Arboretum, and out to Marsh Island and part of Foster Island. I took a lot of pictures, but haven’t gotten a chance to put them online yet. Look forward to that sometime this week.

Past the Halfway Point

Well, with midterms on Friday, I’m officially past halfway through the quarter. Quarters go by so fast.

I’m starting to notice a bunch of groups of prospective students on campus. A lot of people with maps of campus, pointing out different buildings… a year ago that was me… ;)

The weather today was rather eclectic. The forecast was “Showers”, though it was a bit breezy in the morning, and the wind died down and it was partly cloudy most of the day. It wasn’t cold, but a jacket felt good with the sun coming and going. No rain yet, but as the sun’s gone down it’s gotten overcast and it looks like there might be a thunderstorm on the way. As I type this, it’s slowly starting to rain. Small hail, actually.

There are a lot of photos in this post; my apologies to dialup users. You’ll just have to be patient.

I took this photo on the way back from class on Wednesday morning, but never got around to posting it. I’m pretty sure it’s some sort of miniature iris, but as I said before, my plant identification skills aren’t really there:

The cherry trees on the Quad still haven’t started flowering yet, but the branches are heavy with buds.

The trees at the end of the Quad aren’t waiting for anything, though:

There was a large group of unicyclists on Red Square. Must have been the unicycle club or something:
